TL has had a busy first quarter of 2021, and we’re hoping to keep the momentum going for our new album, Random Fireworks on a Beach Obscured by Trees, which was released on January 15th. We’ve released a few songs with accompanying videos to date including: Paper Wings, Love Or Hatred, and Ghost, the latter of which currently has over 9000 views on our YouTube channel. The album can be found on all streaming and digital platforms and we truly feel the album is a throwback to the album rock days, so grab yourself your favorite beverage, sit back for 45mins and spin the album front-to-back!
We were recently nominated for a Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) Award for Group of the Year along with: Hunter Brothers, Jay & Jo, Munro & Patrick and The North Sound. Tucker Lane’s own Johnny Sinclair and Leslie Stanwyck were also nominated along with Alex Runions and Lane Shields for Lane’s song: I’ll Cheers To That, which by the way features Tucker Lane as the backing band. Congrats and good luck to all nominees in all of the categories!
In February we were busy rehearsing, and getting used to playing and singing with masks on and following the COVID guidelines. These rehearsals were to prepare for a live recording for SaskTel Max to take place near the end February. We had the opportunity to head to Rosthern to the Station Arts Centre, which by the way is an awesome little soft-seat theatre, to record a live performance for the SaskTel Max Artist series. The SHA guidelines were strict which made for a unique performance and the crew from Bamboo Shoots were great to work with. It was our first performance with additional musician, Stacey Springall on keyboards and vocals If you have SaskTel Max you can catch it now! If you don’t have SaskTel Max, we have been told that after 4 weeks on air we will get a copy that we can share with all of you. We will let you know as soon as we get it.
On the coming soon front, we are going to be live streaming a concert on April 24. The ticket packages are available at Veeps.com.
A portion of the proceeds are in support of the Unison Benevelont Fund. We feel this is a worthy cause and feel good about pitching in to help other musicians who are struggling during these times.
If you’re interested in supporting the band, and showing your support on your sleeve, literally, check out our Tucker Lane T-Shirts at our Shop on tuckerlane.ca.
Finally, as always, don’t forget to check out and Subscribe to the Tucker Lane YouTube Channel where you can find all of our Official music videos, as well as the Campfire Session videos that have been posted.
Stay safe and healthy TL friends, and we look forward to seeing everyone soon!
